Fight the Fire Benefit at Flying Flags
January 02, 2018
The Thomas Fire has become the largest wildfire in modern California history, affecting various communities throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara County. With our Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground located in Santa Barbara County, these fires have affected the lives of neighboring communities and we want to do all we can to help. In addition to recently providing discounted accommodations to those who evacuated their homes, Flying Flags has partnered with local radio stations, businesses, and musicians to host a fundraiser benefitting those affected by the Thomas Fire.
On January 13, 2018, Flying Flags will host the Fight the Fire Benefit, a free all-ages event, from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm. The event will feature local food, beer, and wine vendors, raffles, live and silent auctions, and live entertainment.
All proceeds from the event will be donated directly to the Thomas Fire Fund via the United Way of Ventura County.
For those who are unable to attend but would like to contribute, a GoFundMe page has been created to collect donations.
Outside of the GoFundMe initiative, Dylan Ortega and a long list of local partners have worked together to raise $52,000 but the goal is to accumulate as much support as possible to help rebuild the lives of those who have been impacted by these fires.

Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground wants to thank all partners, performers, and vendors for contributing all proceeds generated to help benefit this wonderful cause. We look forward to hosting everyone on Saturday, January 13th!
