Jazz Events Near Santa Barbara

The California Central Coast attracts visitors from all over the world due to its vineyards, diverse nature, and cultural events and this summer, the area will attract a large number of jazz fans by hosting music festivals and concerts that feature first rate jazz acts and of course, embrace the region’s high quality wine and food offerings. Here are some of the fun jazz events near Santa Barbara.

The Sunday Jazz & Beyond Concert Series begins on May 31st and continues throughout the summer until the end of August. The six concerts will take place at the Solvang Festival Theater, “under the oaks” in their Star Patron’s Garden. On Sunday afternoons from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm, an artist who has never performed at the theater will lead attendees through their own unique interpretations of jazz.

The Los Olivos Jazz & Olive Festival is also occurring this summer in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley. The Los Olivos Rotary Club enters its tenth year of producing the event that boasts world-class live jazz, wine tasting provided by 30 local wineries, food pairings prepared by 30 well-respected chefs, and let’s not forget the vendors who will be showcasing various olive products.

The event takes place beneath the shade trees of Lavinia Campbell Park in downtown Los Olivos. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the jazz stylings of Grammy-nominee Denise Donatelli, Stefan Karlsson, and the rest of “The Los Angeles A Team”.
